Tim called last night at about 6:30 and before I could get to the phone it stopped ringing. I saw that it was him and called him back. I asked him where he was so that I could get an idea of when he would be home. He said that he had just gotten in the car--or at least that is what I heard. I moaned a little because that meant after 7pm before we would see him. When I started questioning him on how long he thought he would be his answers started confusing me. He said he wasn't going anywhere and that he couldn't steer the car very well. WHAT??? Then he said--Tiff-I was in a car accident. WHAT!!!!!
So here is what happened: he was driving along the freeway and the car in front of him started braking, so he did too. They came to a standstill and the car behind him didn't stop. SMASH! The back end of Tim's car is bent all up. We think the frame was rubbing against the wheel and that was why he couldn't steer the car very well. It was towed away and we are waiting to see what will happen next. I am just praying that the car can be repaired effectively. I am feeling the pain of our 'newer' car getting hit but I am sure the other driver is feeling it worse--they were driving a 2009 Lexus SUV--OUCH!
We are so thankful that nobody was hurt. Tim is sore today but we think that is all.

I feel for you. Hope it's less than the 2 months we waited before finding out for sure our car was totalled so we could go car-looking again. Hope all goes smoothly for you.
Oh Tiffini, I am SO glad that Tim wasn't hurt badly! How scary. But I'm so sorry about your car :( I hope the damage isn't too bad.
Oh good grief! That stinks! I hope things go well with the insurance company and you have a good working car soon!

I hate it when that happens! I am so glad Tim is not hurt - I had that happen to me two different times and it is not fun at all - Good thing for insurance!
