Easter

The kids woke up to baskets filled with popcorn, a Baby chick Peep, and the following note (personalized for each of them):

Peep Peep Ethan,
The Easter Bunny stole all of the eggs that we laid for you!
We had 4 football eggs and 4 orange ones too!

He hid them in places we're sure you will find.
Look over and under, in front and behind.

No need to look in the basement or sleeping places.
He hid them in this house but in other spaces.

Happy Easter!

Then the kids hunted for their eggs filled with candy. They ate that candy for breakfast. Does that make me a bad mom? My primary kids were a bit shocked when I told them that my kids had candy for breakfast.

Today, we moved to a new building and a new time (1pm) for church. Because of the new time, we had a lot more time in the morning than we were used to. We colored some Easter Eggs--notice how the boys already have on their Sunday clothes. I was impressed that they were all able to keep their clothes clean. After unsuccessfully trying to get Mallory to take an early nap, we got her dressed up in her Easter clothes. I couldn't resist buying her the hat and purse. She kept that hat on all day! She loves it. Church was absolutely wonderful. I loved sharing the Resurrection with my Primary class. One of my little girls was so upset when we talked about the death of Christ. Her eyes filled with wonder and joy when I explained how our Savior was given a new body that would never die again. I love these precious teaching moments. After church we headed over to Grandma's house for dinner and an Egg Hunt. Lots of fun with cousins.
