We also had a memorable moment as we left the art museum, getting caught out in an absolute downpour. Magically a street vendor appeared and Jake bought a couple of umbrellas, but by then most of the damage was done - we were absolutely soaked.

One last post on DC
I have to make one last post about the DC trip to document a couple of
things. The first is a lunch we had at the Hard Rock Cafe. The kids
loved all the music videos playing during our lunch, and we all got to get up on stage and pretend to jam with an autographed guitar from some band I had not heard of before. This particular Hard Rock also had Michael Jackson's jacket from the Thriller video, which I imagine has skyrocketed in value now that he has passed on.
