Easter

I feel like Easter came and went and I almost missed it. Saturday, we died (yes--I spelled that wrong. Ethan kept joking that he killed his eggs because they were being "died" instead of "dyed") Easter Eggs at Grandma's house. Zach kept saying that decorating eggs was boring and he didn't want to do it but once he got going he had a good time.
Sunday morning went as expected. Wyatt ate mostly candy for breakfast. Guess that is our fault for having baskets of candy sitting out on the table when they woke up! I tried to take pictures of the kids all fancy for church. The boys can't figure out how to smile naturally for pictures. Oh well, the funny faces will tell better stories 20 years from now. Mallory wore her pink Easter dress from Jodi. I have been waiting forever to have her wear this! Thanks again Jodi!!We got to teach a special Easter lesson to our primary kids. They were pretty crazy last week and I expected them to be on sugar highs this week but they did remarkably well. We went through the Easter story with a bunch of pictures and then handed the pictures off to the kids to retell the story. Then we talked about the miracle of the resurrection and what it means to have a perfect body. It is always nice to reflect on the reason we celebrate Easter.
Sunday afternoon was beautiful and the kids and Tim went to Grandma's for an Easter Egg Hunt while I waited for Mallory to wake up from her nap. I was a little bit bummed to miss that activity with the kids. But, someone had to be there for Mallory. The rest of the afternoon/evening was spent at Grandma's house visiting with family.

Mallory in that pink dress is just too adorable! And those pictures of your boys look so similar to mine, what a bunch of hams!

I loved the pic of the boys dyeing eggs -- and to see you waaaay in the background, taking care of business. :)
I think the boys look great in their Sunday clothes. And I remember when you opened that dress at your baby shower. Soooo cute!
Maybe this summer you can share a pic of Mallory in her big-booty swimsuit. Or maybe we'll get lucky and get to see it in person!
