Ethan tried to catch a leprechaun yesterday. But that leprechaun was just too sneaky for him--even with Ethan's amazing leprechaun trap. His classroom leprechaun, named Darby, took the "Free Gold" but somehow missed the trap door that was going to keep him from getting away. We have already discussed some trap improvements and hope to have better luck next year.St. Patrick's Day is fun. And, apparently, I started a tradition that the boys were not going to let me forget. It is officially a Cluff family tradition to make Green Pancakes for breakfast on St. Patrick's Day. As a kid we used to make green breakfast on St. Patrick's Day. (We meaning the kids--my mom was never involved. I am not sure if she even knew we did it. Green eggs, or pancakes were the favorites. We didn't like the way the Green French Toast looked.) I got super fancy and even make them into shamrocks this year. So, here are some pictures of the kids sporting their Lucky Green and getting ready for Shamrock Pancakes!

Wow! pancakes on a school day. You are ambitious. We didn't have any fun green food. I think that it would totally gross Kennedy out!
I love the shamrock pancakes! I guess this is a holiday I'm just not into, I barely remembered to tell the kids to wear green.
I'm like Michelle...as I dropped the kids off and noticed everyone else covered in green we scrambled to look for something on their clothes that passed as green:)
Dang check you out! You are awesome! My kids kind of get the shaft on St Patricks day!
Bwahahahaha......
Remember the time that we made everything green and one of our siblings freaked and wouldn't eat any of it?
That... was awesome.
I love St. Patrick's Day! Way to go, Tiff - make your kiddos love it, too!
I couldn't even get Soren to put green on. The pinching didn't make him change, either. He loves to be a contradictory little punk.
*sigh*
I am impressed. I completely ignored it this year!
Those pancakes look great. You are such a good mom!
How fun, my boys would have loved that! But lucky for me they were happy with pistachio pudding and green jello :)
I have to admit you are much more ambitious than I am. I have never really gotten into the spirit of St. Patricks Day. I did remember to have my kids wear green to school, but that's it. No green food or special St. Patty's Day shirts at our house.
