Man it is hot here. I miss the cool mornings where I could open all of the windows and cool down the house. I woke up this morning and it was 73 degrees in the house. We opened all of the windows until I realized that it wasn't helping at all. So, I turned down the air conditioner and closed everything up. Tim says we will acclimate to this heat--that doesn't make it feel any cooler though.

Nate and I were talking about this last night. My Dad had said that the temp's were reaching over 90 there the past few days! While we are in the mid 70's here, although our apartment doesn't have great air circulation. We start the days off at around 73 inside and I end up turning on the AC when Nate comes home from work, which by then it's up to 78. Not unbearable but, I'm pregnant and can really feel the difference. So, I thought I'd never say it, but I'm glad we're not in hot Utah this summer! Good luck and stay cool!

You could try my mom's trick - leave the windows open all night (that you dare) and close them at 6 a.m. And the blinds. Then it's only really uncomfortable from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Or so.
I'm grateful for swamp coolers and air conditioners. And smoothies and popsicles.
Ahhh the heat....
Be lucky it's dry heat and not humid heat. Remember our Ohio summers? Yeah, that's what I'm living with now! Last week it was 90+ everyday with 90+ humidity!!!
Luckily we are getting a little break this week and are in the mid 70's. Next week, however, it's back to the 80's & 90's with the humidity breathing down our necks.
I am honestly excited to get out of the wet heat and into the dry heat in a couple weeks!
