National Night Out was tonight. Tim had to go help the bishop at the church so I took the kids over to the park for the neighborhood party. We had a great time.
They had the Schwan's truck there giving out ice cream. Domino's donated pizza for the event. They also had some water balloon games and sidewalk chalk for the kids to draw all over the basketball court.
Last year the event was cut short when the sprinklers turned on at 8pm. They made sure that several calls were made to the city to have the sprinklers off this evening. We had fun visiting with neighbors and playing at the park. I was shocked to win what I thought was the best prize($50 gift card to Ling and Louie's--a yummy Asian restaraunt) in the raffle. The boys entered a raffle for some of the extra pizza-we came home with two 1/2 pizza's.
