Mallory's first dance recital

Mallory had her first dance recital today. She didn't do a lot of dancing but we curled her hair so that she would look cute on stage. She actually did more of her dances than I expected and it was delightful to watch. Grandma Perkins was able to come and Grandpa Perkins stayed home so Darcy could take a nap. The boys were troopers and sat through the whole recital without complaining. They all perked up during a tap routine where two boys danced to Mission Impossible. After that dance I asked if I should sign them up to learn how to dance...they all declined. Go figure.

After the recital was over, we met everyone outside. The first thing that Mallory said when she saw the boys was "Why does everyone have flowers except me". I had been thinking about stopping at Costco for flowers but we hadn't had time before the recital. We were planning on stopping on our way home so I told that we were getting her flowers on our way home. That satisfied her. I think she really liked the attention.
