Fun for Wyatt

It is hard to identify summer highlights for Wyatt---he seems to enjoys everything except nap times. When I tell him it is time for a nap he starts whining, forces a smile on his face and says "I happy mommy, see, I happy". Of course, upon getting him into bed he easily crashes for up to 2 1/2 hours. But, I will try to pinpoint a couple of things.

My Secret Hiding Place-- Wyatt has a new secret hiding place. I am not sure if he came up with this one on his own or if Ethan or Zach gave him the idea. The other day I was looking for Wyatt and went up to his room. There were a few toys out, but no sign of him. I went and opened up his toybox and found him laying inside. He had emptied the toybox to make room for himself and was happy just being inside. He told me it was his secret hiding place. I have found him hiding in there several times since then.

Land Before Time-- Wyatt is my child that I could easily see turning into a couch potato. He loves to watch TV. He is also quite fascinated with dinosaurs. He has watched The Land Before Time(#1), The Big Freeze(#8) and The Longneck Migration(#10) more times than I can count. He will quote parts from the movies randomly throughout the day. I need to read to him more or something.

"My Best Friends" Wyatt has grasped onto this idea of best friends and delights in spending time with any of the friends on his list. I just asked him who his best friends are--his response "Cameron Christian Brookreson (for some reason he always uses his full name), Evan, and Sage...and I am going to marry Olivia." Whenever I tell him we are going anywhere he asks if his best friends are going to be there.

Playing with Zachary-- Right now Wyatt and Zach are little buddies at home. Zach will come up with all sorts of things for them to make believe and Wyatt goes along with it. I think Zach likes it because he gets to call all the shots.

Swimming-- Just like his brothers, Wyatt has loved going to the swimming pool. He loves the pool toys and is thrilled with himself when he sits in the wading pool. "Look mom, I'm sitting in the pool!" We took the boys to the night time swim for FHE last night and they all enjoyed being in the big pool. I am not sure I would attempt the big one by myself...I think the wading pool is about my speed right now.

He's such a cutie! I love the "I happy mommy, I happy' comment. How sweet! Sounds like all three of your boys are having a great summer :)

Flag Football

Kickin' Kids offers a flag football season. Ethan and Zach both wanted to participate. We were able to get them on the same team and had...
