We Made It!!

Well, today was the big move in day. We haven't officially closed on the house here or the house in Oregon due to our buyers buyers (confusing!!) changing their financing on the day of closing. But, we let our buyers rent from us and we are renting from our sellers. So, my point is, we moved our stuff in today!! We still aren't sleeping there though. Hopefully, I can get things put together enough this week that we can start living in our home next weekend. It will be nice to be able to stay with Tim's parents this week so that we don't have to live in the chaos. (And so that the kids don't create more chaos!)
We were a little nervous about the move today because the weather turned on us this weekend. There is snow on the mountains and we felt a few flakes here too. Gratefully, the rain/snow stayed away while we unloaded the van. The only thing we had to deal with was the wind. Yikes, it is windy here sometimes!
And this post would not be complete without a mighty big Thank You to everyone who helped us, both here and on the Oregon end of things. Your husbands all said they would check the blog regularly but I am not sure how much I believe them. So, pass on our thanks. It was interesting to unpack the van but nothing was broken and all of the typical moving scrapes to furniture were easily hidden. I am just looking forward to getting organized again. We miss you all!!

glad to hear things went so well! That is definitely nice that you have a place to stay while you get your new house all set-up. Hope you're able to be finally settled soon!

It makes it so much easier to get organized and settled if you don't have to live there. I hope the financing comes through quickly so you can get that done, but I'm glad that they have let you rent from them. Post lots of pics of the finished product!

Nate's glad to have helped. We've had lots of help with all of our moves so it's nice to repay the favors. Good luck with all the financing going through. We love you guys!

Congrats on moving in. It still doesn't look right not seeing you guys across the street.

I am SO glad nothing broke. Mark said it was packed tight. I am so glad you are settling in. Tell Zach that Caleb checks the mail faithfully hoping something will be there from him. We miss you guys.

I can't believe nothing broke...Jamie said it was tough to see everything slammed into that truck. He thought for sure there would be a few items 'not quite the same' when you arrived. Can't wait to see pictures of your new place! Miss you.
