I should be grateful...

I should be grateful that Ethan, Zach and Wyatt play so nicely together. (Well, 90% of the time). I should be grateful that they have fabulous imaginations. I should be grateful. Right now....every blanket is off of the beds and all of the stuffed animals are scattered throughout the house. They are playing camping. I should be grateful--I like that game better than Pokemon, Autobot and Megabot battles. It is OK if they destroy the house in the name of fun. That is what makes being a kid so fun. These are the childhood memories they will look back on. I should enjoy them now. They grow up so fast. OK--I may not be grateful for the mess but I think I have convinced myself to let it go. Maybe I will get a picture of the stuffed animal campout fun. I really am glad I let them do this--they had fun and when the camera came out it turned into a big pillow fight and lots of laughing.

sounds so cute! And I too have to remind myself from time to time, "they're kids, they're using their imaginations, it's ok."

Enjoy it while you can, as hard as that may be. Just let it go (at least that is what I try to do). Now, I have to go clean up the play food scattered around the house now before I step on another stinkin piece. ;)

My friend said that once she started taking pictures of her kids insanity to post on her blog, it began to stress her out less. Now she is able to laugh a lot sooner and appreciate the memories. Not all the time, of course, but more times than she had before.

I say get the camera out!

My sweet little boy just sits and reads all day. Be grateful your boys are a little more exciting than that! Ha! :D

I'm playing blog catch up, so I just read your last 8 posts! I loved your name post. I never liked my name, so I tried really hard to give my kids names that they liked. I don't know if it worked. Kennedy wants to be names Chloe.
We have only used our zoo member ship once this year. I am going to try to use it again before summer is over, but it costs so much to get there!
Happy Belated Fathers Day to Tim and Happy Belated Birthday to you! I can't believe that Mallory is going to be 1 pretty soon!

I try to 'live in the moment', knowing that these days when my kiddos are little will only last so long...but it's not always easy! Good for you for letting your wee ones enjoy the day...mess and all :)

Flag Football
