Walking and Talking

Mallory is attempting to take a few steps! All of the boys started walking within a week of turning one. Mallory, little princess that she is, has been content to be carried. On Friday I was sitting on the bottom of the stairs reading a book with Wyatt. Mallory started getting wiggly so I put her down. She walked about 7-10 steps before she realized that she was on her own and dropped to the ground. Tim and I have tried to get her to walk several times this weekend but she has only done a couple of steps for us. I am sure it won't be long now though!

I also wanted to make a list of the words she is saying these days:
DaDa and Daddy--her favorite words!!
MaMa
ooohhh--she does this when she looks at books
Uh oh
All Gone
All Done
Bye Bye
Night Night--more like NA NAT right now but she says it at bedtime and waves so it is easy to translate
Who's that--this is said when she looks at pictures on the wall
banana
Ducky--she loves those little rubber duckies
UP--this one sounds more like uutt
book
She attempts to say Ethan Zachy and Wyatt occasionally and we are teaching her some bedtime and mealtime sign language (moon, stars, light, book, bath, sleepy, toothbrush, quiet, love, hot, more, all gone and all done)

I can't believe she is so big and talking already. She is such a cutie and her pictures are adorable. I love the first words that babies try to use to tell us what's on their minds!

It is so funny when they finally realize they are walking on their own and then they lose all confidence.

I am glad to hear she is taking some steps, then she can keep up with her brothers! I wish I could see and hear her more. She is going to be talking early!

I wish I had you close so I could ask you some sign. I can't believe she is getting so big. She's got a lot more verbal than Jude right now. Of course, she does have three smart brothers talking to her instead of just one...
