Fun with cousins
We got the special treat of having my sister Shanae and her family stay with us over the Thanksgiving holidays. We had to share them with the Tullis family but we were happy to have them around for a few days.
Mallory was loving having Soren carry her around on his shoulders and she just couldn't get enough of little Caroline.
I took the kids (during Caroline's nap) over to our local museum and they had a blast looking at rocks, banging on Indian drums and checking out some really cool bug collections.
One night (no pictures of this) we had a Raclette dinner. It is a Swiss meal where you cook meat on a grill that has special cheese-melting trays. When the meat and cheese are cooked you pour the cheese over the meat and over some cooked potatoes and eat up. My sister's husband, Alan, served a mission in Germany and his first area was in the southern part of his mission. It was close enough to the Swiss influence that he had Raclette once while he was there. We had Alan pick out some good cheeses to make the meal more authentic. Lots of yummy food and good times.
