Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt. As much fun as the large community ones have been in the past....this was so much nicer in some ways. Not quite as crowded and the opportunity to get to know some neighbors! Everybody helped donate eggs for the kids to hunt and their were prize eggs and drawings for Easter baskets. My kids, being generally unlucky with things like this, didn't get a single prize winning egg between all five of them. Not a big deal because they all had candy and were content. One random kid gave Mallory a prize ticket because he had gotten 4 or 5 in his eggs. She was happy to pick out some sidewalk chalk (or walk chalk as she calls it). There was a bounce house for the little kids and lots of games to play. They also had the drawings for Easter baskets. I entered each of my kids in for the basket I felt like they would enjoy the most. We were shocked and excited when Zachary won the Phineas and Ferb basket, especially since I had just commented to someone that we never win these things. Right after that they announced the winners of the "Guess the number of Jelly Beans and M&M's in the Jars". Shockingly, Zach was the winner of the M&M's! I guess we have one lucky person in our family :).
