Oh my..

Today is a late start day for the boys. School starts at 9:20am. At 8:30am they decided that they would ride bikes to school. We figured that since it was their first time riding bikes we would give them a nice big window of time to get there. At 8:55am we started getting shoes and coats on and had the boys on their bikes by 9am. Then, Wyatt had a meltdown complete with tears--he was afraid that they would be late. It took me 10 minutes to convince him that he would get to school faster on his bike than if he waited for me to get Mallory out of the tub, get her dressed, load the girls and him in the car and drive him to school. (Always fun to deal with these things in the front yard where all of the neighbors and construction workers can hear.) I told him that if he waited for me then he would be late. He finally pedaled off to catch up to Ethan and Zach. I am sure that it will only take them 5 minutes to get to the school. Hopefully, next time Wyatt will trust me.
