I have had a lot of fun being the 1st grade Art Mom this year. Today was my last day of Art. I have enjoyed getting to know the kids in Wyatt's class and his teacher, Mrs. Morandi. We, Inna (the other Art mom) and I, have done everything from silly putty and play dough, symmetric butterflies, paper plate apples, heart collages and a few lessons about famous artists like Van Gogh and Picasso. It has been fun to see how the personalities of these kids comes out in their art. We had the student who wanted help with everything, the kid who always used too much of everything, and a few really good little artists. I am already planning on being the Art mom for Mallory's preschool class next year so my fun with art does not have to end.
