Wyatt got to invite a few friends over for a birthday get together. He invited Simon, Jason, and Caleb from his class at school. No gifts (although one of his friends brought him a Beyblade), just pizza and hanging out.
We had put together a bunch of games together in the backyard--like a backyard Olympics. The final event was going to be a race from the giant dirt pile next door (at the spec homes still awaiting landscaping) to the back yard. Zach was showing the boys the different events and made the innocent mistake of showing them the dirt pile. It has been nicknamed 'Everest' and there was NO interest in doing anything but playing on the dirt pile. They had a great time though. Caleb did fall and scrape his elbow, which I felt bad about, but we got him cleaned up and he was ready to go again. We finally pulled the boys back inside for cake.
Wyatt decided at the very last minute that he wanted a Pokeball cake. I had already bought chocolate cake and frosting so we improvised with the sprinkles.
