It is no good at all!! I took Mallory and Wyatt in to get measured and weighed for WIC this week. Mallory--who was in the 50% at four months--dropped to the 25% in weight. They think that it might be partially because she was sick for a week and a half. It also may explain why she has been waking up at 1am and 5am to eat every night. So, yesterday I started an experiment--these nighttime hours are killing me--I nursed her at all of the normal times but then right before her naps I fed her 1 once of formula. At dinner time she got some rice cereal and then right before bed she got some green beans and an extra 2 onces of formula. She only woke up at 3am to eat and then slept until 8am. Of course, she has fooled me many times before with this whole sleeping/eating/schedule thing. So, I will try this routine for a couple of weeks and see how she weighs in at her 6 month appointment.
Wyatt on the other hand is growing great! He is 3 ft 3 in and weighs 38lbs.

Zach swallowed an Advil today. I know it doesn't sound too exciting but we have some pill swallowing-averse children. This is a big day!...

It is so frustrating when we can't figure out what they want! I hope you are able to find the right combination to get her to sleep AND gain weight! She'll be fine. Jaren slipped a bit, too. :)
I remember those sleepless nights. James didn't sleep through the night consistently until I weaned him - at 19 months. Yikes! Keep going... you're doing a great job!
Hang in there! You'll eventually get it figured out just in time for her to change again;)
Oooooo, sounds like you may have it figured out. I hope the extra formula feedings work. Hang in there. I know the sleep deprivation can be a killer!
So how is the routine going? I hope she is settling down and sleeping/gaining more. I'm sure she will be fine. They go through so many growth spurt phases where their weight fluctuates. Hang in there :)
Sometimes girls are just smaller than there brothers. Maybe she just wants to be petite! But of course, if you are dealing with grumpiness and stuff that may be what's wrong. Good luck, I know how much the no sleeping thing bites!
