SUCCESS!
He can hear!! Surgery went without a hitch. We went for a post-op appointment this morning and had a hearing test done. He is normal. Now I know if he is just trying to ignore me. I keep trying to get a feel for the difference it is making for him. The most I have gotten out of him is that he could hear the microwave last night. He couldn't hear the microwave before. The big test will be to see if he is more willing to participate in the classroom setting.

I'm so glad surgery went well, that must have been stressful! Glad that he is hearing better!
I had a similar problem when I was little and could not hear - after my surgery it was weird how loud everything seemed. What a blessing modern medicine is:)
