The magical filter

Ever since we got back from our family reunion in Arizona our house has been unbearably hot. It has been in the low hundreds outside and even with the air conditioner going full speed all day long we couldn't get the house below 80 degrees. Yesterday, while I was down in the laundry room I randomly decided to look at the furnace air filter. It was so dirty!! I was shocked with how dirty the filter was because last time we checked it still looked brand new. We stopped by the store and grabbed a new filter and magic happened when we replaced it. Suddenly, the air volume coming out of the vents doubled...maybe even tripled! We had cool breezes flowing through every room in the house and the temperature dropped and dropped until in was a wonderful 72 degrees. I am still puzzled as to how everything changed while we were out of town. But, I am glad to have the cool air back. And you can bet that I will be checking that filter a lot more often!!!

Good thing you checked that filter! 80 degrees inside an airconditioned house is NOT cool enough! I'm glad you are chillin' again ;)

That's great that you were finally able to fix the problem!

I wish that's what our problem was.... *sigh*

Oh well, we won't really be living here in 2 weeks anyway! It gets to be someone elses problem!

Wow! Our air conditioning completely broke this past week. Thankfully we were able to get it working today before the real heat is supposed to arrive. Stay cool!
