Ethan was one of four kids from his class to participate in the school's Geography Bee. They picked four kids from each class--grades 4-6 and had to answer a huge range of questions about the world. After 7 rounds of questions they narrowed it down to 10 finalists. He knew a lot of the answers to questions that other kids were asked but had a couple of really hard questions come his way. Ethan wasn't a finalist this year but he learned a lot and I think he enjoyed being in front of everyone.
Of course, he was a little too short for the podium. Next year, he will be taller and we will have a better idea of what to study.
