We have this really great park in our neighborhood and the elementary school takes full advantage of it. Almost every grade got to take a walking field trip to the park for outdoor activities. Zach had his picnic today and Aunt Lisa was good enough to watch the girls for me so that I could hand out with Zach. Zach's friends, Moses and Cooper, shared our picnic blanket for lunch.
Then, the kids got randomly divided into groups and did a bunch of activities and relay races. Zach didn't have anyone in his group that he knew very well. I was a little bit nervous about how much he would willingly participate (because he didn't know people) but he had a great time. I guess he is growing up. He and another kid raced the three legged race three times and won every time! I got the easy job of monitoring the play structure. It gave me a chance to visit with a few moms and Zach's teacher, Ms. Pier (who we LOVE!!!). It was a very fun field trip.
