Casting #2

Friday, February 12, 2010

Tim came with me to this casting session and you would think that we would have gotten a bunch of pictures. But, between talking to the doctor and keeping Darcy calm, happy and sleepy we just forgot. So, here she is getting her first set off. Grandma Perkins drew some ballet slippers on this set and we signed one of the casts. I decided to hold on to one of these so that we can show Darcy later. I can't get over how chubby the casts make her legs look.
Just as a reminder...the before cast #1. As you can see....her range of motion has already increased. If anyone had attempted to manipulate her feet like this before the cast she would have screamed her lungs out. And that is the extent of the picture taking. Just trust me..they put her back in another set of casts.

It is amazing the difference already. Thank goodness for modern medicine. You'll be glad you documented the process for her.

Like everyone else said, that's pretty amazing! Glad she is doing good. She is so dang cute!

Definitely keep the casts! My brother had some when he was Darcy's age and it was so cute to see how tiny they were now that he is 6'2" :)
