Reading Maniacs
Last month Ethan and Zach started reading "Warriors"--a series of books about wild cats. They got a set of six books for Christmas and they have been devouring them. Ethan is required to read 20 minutes a day for his class at school. Last month he logged 4000 minutes of reading....an all time record for any of his teachers' 4th grade classes. Zach logged in over 1000 minutes in one week for his class. In the few minutes that they were not reading the books....they were playing Warriors with Wyatt. We had to stop that game after Wyatt came away literally looking like he had been in a cat fight....with scratches on his face and arms. I think sometimes these boys get a little carried away!

Jillise just got the first Warrior book from the library last week and has been loving it. I had never heard of it before!
1st of all, congrats on your sweet baby girl!!!
and 2nd, thanks for the heads up on this new series, my boys might love those ... right now Bailey is working his way through the Percy Jackson series, and is SO happy that the Lightning Thief is a PG rating so he can see it in a few weeks!
I want to read that many minutes! He is my hero. Everyone need to have books to devour.
