Casting #3

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

I was on my own for this casting. Tim had to stay home and get the kids off to school. That is my excuse for not getting the after pictures (again). Here is Darcy getting the casts taken off. She was so calm during this part. I had been told that they start freaking out when the casts are off but she still is pretty easy going about the whole process. She is just staring out at nothing. I wish she would be this content in the evenings! I nursed her in between getting the old ones off and the new ones on. She seems to stay really relaxed when she has just eaten so we are trying to encourage that. Here are her feet without anybody touching them. The difference didn't seem as dramatic this time to me but I know that they are starting to stretch the feet in a different direction now. Maybe that has something to do with it. But, her foot looks almost in the perfect position when they started stretching her for the next cast. She has been such an angel during these casting appointments. That makes it so much easier on me. I think if she screamed during them I would lose it. With her being so relaxed about it and the doctor being so easy going about this process it makes it easy to feel like this is not that big of a deal.
